TechSupportMB.com is solely owned and operated by Mark Becker.  Mark is a long time Buffalo Grove resident and has lived in Chicago’s North and Northwest suburban area his entire life.

Mark has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Computer-Based Management Information Systems.  He has been working in the computer industry since he graduated college beginning with his first job in 1978 as a Computer Programmer for Arthur Anderson & Co.

Although in college and at Arthur Anderson & Co. Mark was schooled in and worked as a Mainframe and Mini-computer programmer and Systems Analyst; he has been involved in the Personal Computer industry since its birth in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.  At that time he was using and programming Commodore, Apple and IBM PC’s.  Mark’s knowledge and use of PC Operating Systems started with early versions of the Apple Operating System, CP/M, MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Version 1.0.  It has since progressed on to all versions of the Microsoft Windows Operating System, the Apple Mac Operating System and Unix.

Mark is currently an Independent Contractor specializing in helping home and small business users handle the wide variety of problems and challenges that face today’s computer and technology users.  He is a friendly, personable and patient  “Jack-of-all-Trades” kind of person who provides numerous computer and technology support services to his clients.  These services include but are not limited to:  Computer Setup, Repair, Troubleshooting, Virus and Malware/Spyware Removal, Upgrading, Software Installation, Hardware Installation, Internet, E-mail, Wired and Wireless Networking, Data Backup Systems, iPads/Tablets, iPhones, Android Phones, other Cell Phones, Cellular Device Integration, Internet Domain Name Services, Website Creation, Training, Consulting and More!

Prior to working as an independent consultant helping home users, home office users and small businesses users, Mark’s career had been focused on business-to-business computer consulting and support.  He has worked with small-to-medium sized businesses as well as large businesses like Abbott Laboratories and Baxter International.  Mark has worked with all kinds and levels of users from CEO’s to administrative people to Moms, Dads, kids and grandparents.  Mark loves to help people use their technology.

Mark has held many positions in the computer industry over the years including:  Computer Programmer, System’s Analyst, Software Designer and Tester, End-User Trainer, Telephone and Modem Help-Desk Support Person, Sales and Sales Support Representative and Manager of Programming, Systems Development and Customer Support.  Mark also held the position of Vice-President of a local Chicago-area computer consulting company and in 1994 he was working with an Internet start-up company before it was fashionable, helping to bring the power of the Internet to customers in the Chicago metropolitan area.  That company became one of the few early dot-com companies that are still viable today.
